Commercial description: It belongs to the Amaranthus caudatus species. It is a very small round grain with rarely reach … mm diameter and present a different variety of colors that range from black through red and ivory –white. Rich in calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, vitamin E and vitamin B complex as well as essential amino acids for the development of human body tissues. It is produced in the Andean region of Peru. After it is harvested it is disinfected and then classified, calibrated and packed for export. The whole process is carried out under an adequate quality and sanitary control.
